Engr (Dr) Friday Otutu is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) .He is a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
He is a noted philanthropist and is the immediate past President of Ndoma club that has the sole objective of giving helping hand to the less privileged including awarding scholarship to numerous Ndokwa students in tertiary institutions.
In December 2013 Engr Otutu Friday was conferred with an award of excellence by the National Association of Nigerian Students in recognition of his philanthropic help to the Nigerian youths
Engr (Dr.) Friday Otutu holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Master of Engineering (M.Eng) degree in Drilling Engineering and another Master of Engineering (M.Eng) degree in Petroleum Production both from the University of Portharcourt. He got his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Portharcourt, specializing in Geomechanical Wellbore stability Mathematical Modeling and Real Time Application of Model in the Oil Industry.
He has published several papers in reputable international journals with some 20 papers to his credit. The focus of his research is on Wellbore stability and HSE.
